Meet the founder

Colin Koskinen

Colin grew up on a small farm in Dryden, Michigan, where his dad introduced him to hunting at age five. He got his first bow at 13 and shot his first whitetail at 16.

As his passion for bowhunting grew, Colin and his dad joined a local group, Let Them Go & Let Them Grow. That's where he first heard wildlife biologists, food plot specialists and DNR officers speak, and he's been hooked on deer biology and habitat management ever since. In 2020 he took over leadership of the group.

He completed QDMA's Deer Steward levels 1 and 2 and put them to work on his family's home farm in Dryden and their 27-acre farm in Manistee County: no-till food plots, hinge-cut bedding, steering trails, and learning what deer need all 365 days of the year. He has since worked alongside respected land managers including Jim Ward, Jake Ehlinger and Jim Brauker.

After helping family and friends transform their properties, Colin founded Legendary Habitat LLC in 2020. He loves teaching clients about whitetail biology and herd management, which he considers key to any successful whitetail property.
